Originally part of the monastic guest quarters operated by the monks of Eynsham Abbey founded around 1005 AD, the inn continued to serve travellers even after the monastery was dissolved in early sixteenth century during the reign of Henry VIII. Today, it remains a place of rest, welcome, and warmth – offering cosy accommodation and a memorable village escape.

Our rooms are south-facing, flooded with natural light through beautiful Victorian sash windows that overlook the village of Eynsham.
